This is my 100th post, and there is more good news :-). Our Detecting Knowledge Flows in Weblogs paper has been accepted for the International Conference on Conceptual Structures (ICCS 2005). Perhaps even more interesting is that the reviewer's comments were extensive and constructive. One reviewer commented: "This paper offers an innovative, practical way by which conceptual structures can be used to solve real world problems." And the reviewer continues to offer suggestions for improvement. Perfect! And, yes we know more research is needed :-).
Kassel here we come! My favourite cycling planner tells me it is 230 km from my home town (Enschede) to Kassel where ICCS is located. Given that ICCS is in the summer it is an idea to make it part of a cycling vacation, Kassel is perhaps not as fancy as Hawaii but the simple idea of cycling to a conference is pretty compelling (to me at least). Pit stops at other German University cities: Münster and Paderborn. Any suggestions for places to visit on route, wifi zones (should I feel disconnected) and hints for further cycling extensions in the Kassel area are appreciated.
