Reading some of the answers to the "40 questions" that seems to have started here, I do have a few questions and answers myself.
- What do you think of the 40 questions? Reminded me of Bridget Jones. The movie that is.
- Which question did you like most? 23. How many one night stands in this last year? As a casual observer it reminds me of Bridget Jones again and mathematically it is interesting to see that the range given in the answers is either 0 or infinite (which is a perfect example of extremities, I'm inclined to suggest correct counting is a skill).
- Suppose you would fill out your own 40 questions, which one's would you answer? Basically all questions to which the answer is correct. Let's try: 24. What was your favourite TV programme: "Tatort"; 26. Best book I read: "Envisioning Information" by Edward Tufte. Not alone correct, also bloggably correct.
- Which questions did you miss? On sports and geekness. Sport is at least as important to some as music / movies / books, an opportunity was missed here. Geekness is a nice term and it serves as a modern supplement to IQ. What is your geekness factor?
- Why are there 40 questions? Despite a significant amount of searching, I have no clue. There is of course the game "20 questions" and perhaps the originator simply doubled it. This is a bit disappointing as the answer to the ultimate question is 42 (Douglas Adams in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). How difficult would it be to think of two more questions?
