A serious problem in science, news in general, and even sports, is mimicking. An extremely senior colleague told me the Named Entity (NE) problem had been solved.
Having thought seriously about the problem I am assured that neither I will solve it nor will anybody else. A nice demo of a NE recogniser is here.
