Dear fellow bloggers,
I do read your blog.
I also decided not to comment on my personal blogging experience as it appears silly to write and then to explain why I write and what I write about. That is for the reader to figure out. (There is a dot ending the previous sentence).
A while ago I ran an analysis of the number of citations of people in our department using CiteSeer. Some people derive their "relevant" importance from the number of articles they write. Writing a lot of papers no one cites appears wasting one's time. And several of my colleagues certainly seemed less important. Counting citations is one means to arrive at importance.
All media share the producer - consumer distinction. Measuring what the producer produces is normally easy, measuring whether the consumer likes it is much more difficult.
I like your blogs.
But once you start blogging about blogging, oh well .... I'd better detach myself.
Regards,
Anjo.
